I am in literal hell at the moment. I've had permanent tinnitus for nearly 20 years thanks to me being a silly bugger, playing drums/playing in bands/going to shows/sound engineering without wearing ear plugs.

I've had this rank cold that's going around recently and the last couple of days have brought blocked ears, which in turn brings very loud tinnitus. *very* loud tinnitus.

Plug up, kids. You'll thank yourself in the future!

@andy it may be low frequency hearing loss from the infection. There's an over the counter nasal steroid called Nasonex which helped me with this. It took a few months. Recommend seeing an audiologist to get an audiogram and GP can probably refer you to an ENT. Feel free to DM me if you want to hear about my experience and what worked. I did a lot of research and learned a lot about the inner ear (maybe too much).

@chris cheers man, very kind of you. It’s getting back to normal levels of tinnitus now, luckily, but I appreciate the offer!
